Reynoldstown Trivia FREE Answer FOR Week of June 9
Answer: John F. Faith Elementary School – A.K.A. Tech High School
What’s Behind the Answer:
Originally built in 1922, the 54,000-square-foot schoolhouse was once known as John F. Faith Elementary. In 1963, its name was changed—likely in response to the desegregation of Atlanta’s public schools. One of the most fascinating details about this site, formerly home to Tech High, is its historic location: it sits on the grounds of the Battle of Atlanta, a significant event in the Civil War. If you’re in the area, be sure to check out the historical marker at the front of the building. The school also lies within the Memorial Drive Corridor, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
