Reynoldstown Trivia FREE Answer — August 6

Answer: 1938

What’s Behind the Answer:

Fred Martin Welding got its start in 1938 on Edgewood Avenue, founded by the grandfather of current Reynoldstown resident Marty. At the time, Edgewood was a hub for industrial businesses—now it’s better known for galleries, restaurants, and lofts near the Beltline. Fred Martin Welding is one of the last remaining industrial shops in the area. Today, Marty runs the company with his wife Kelly, son Luke, and granddog Sophie, creating custom metalwork like stunning iron gates and chandeliers using reclaimed materials from the old Atlanta Belting factory next door. Luke is also taking the craft in an artistic direction, showcasing pieces at @thesunatl and soon at @southriverartstudios. Fred Martin Welding has long supported the Reynoldstown Wheelbarrow Festival and even created the iconic Reynoldstow Medal sign—donating all proceeds to RCIL.
