Reynoldstown Holiday Toy Shop Swap

Reynoldstown Holiday Toy Shop Swap

We’re trying something new this year - a Reynoldstown Holiday Shop Toy Swap to spread cheer, reduce waste, and make sure our littlest residents have something special to enjoy this season!

Here’s how it works: On Sunday, 12/14 families can browse and “shop” from a selection of gently used toys, all donated by fellow Reynoldstown neighbors. It’s a simple, sustainable, and fun way to give and receive right here in our own community.

Consider participating in any of the following ways! Sign up on the form linked above in the "Tickets" section.
- Donate toys your family has outgrown (gently used and in good shape!)
- Volunteer as a porch drop-off spot, help sort and set up toys before the event, or assist families “shopping” during the Holiday Shop.
- Join as a shopper! Whether you’re looking for a few new treasures for your kids or simply want to be part of the community spirit, all are welcome.

Thanksgiving Baskets

Thanksgiving Baskets

Join Us for the 2025 Thanksgiving Basket Drive

This year marks our 20th annual celebration of community, care, and gratitude at the Thanksgiving Basket Drive. We are proud to carry forward a tradition of gathering neighbors, supporters, and volunteers to ensure every family in Reynoldstown can enjoy a meaningful Thanksgiving meal.

What It Is

The Thanksgiving Basket Drive is more than just distributing groceries — it’s about connection, giving, and belonging.

Each participating family receives a full meal basket containing a turkey and traditional Thanksgiving-sides, ensuring they can sit down to a generous holiday meal.

The event takes place at Lang‑Carson Park (Saturday, November 22 2025).

It’s a communal day: volunteers come together to assemble the meal-baskets, deliver them to families, and uplift our neighborhood by working side by side.

In 2024, we supported over 100 families thanks to more than 40 volunteers, local businesses, and our dedicated Thanksgiving Baskets Committee.

How to Volunteer

We welcome individuals, families, groups, and local businesses to join in. Here’s how you can participate:

  • Sign up to volunteer. Register to help with basket assembly, delivery, and event logistics.

  • Donate if you can’t be there in person. A contribution of $70 covers a full Thanksgiving meal for one family — you’ll help make it possible.

  • Spread the word. Encourage neighbors who may need help to apply. If you know a Reynoldstown family who could use a meal, contact Julie Tomas, julie.thomas02@sap.com.

RCIL Zoning Meeting—Virtual This Month

The RCIL Zoning Committee is here to review proposed projects requiring rezoning or variances and other such approvals requested of the neighborhood for NPU approval such as liquor license requests.  We discuss larger projects that impact the neighborhood. These projects usually require multiple meetings to work out setbacks, transitional yards, streetscape issues, green space, and height and form of buildings.

Maintaining the neighborhood’s character and protecting neighbors from zoning violations is the work of the Zoning Committee. The committee allows for a collaborative method to handle zoning and land-use concerns in our neighborhood.

Monthly Zoning meetings occur the first Thursday of the month at 7pm at the Lang-Carson Center. Please join us!
